## SEC. 3040 OBLIGATION CEILING Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the total of all obligations from amounts made available from the Mass Transit Account of the Highway Trust Fund by, and amounts appropriated under, subsections
(a)through
(f)of section 5338 of title 49, United States Code, and subparagraphs
(A)and
(B)of section 3037(l)(1) of this Act, shall not exceed— ####
(1)$5,315,000,000 in fiscal year 1999; ####
(2)$5,797,000,000 in fiscal year 2000; ####
(3)$6,271,000,000 in fiscal year 2001; ####
(4)$6,747,000,000 in fiscal year 2002; ####
(5)$7,226,000,000 in fiscal year 2003; ####
(6)$7,309,000,000 in fiscal year 2004; and ####
(7)$6,401,995,996 for the period of October 1, 2004, through August 14, 2005.
