## SEC. 1057 EROSION CONTROL GUIDELINES **[**[23 U.S.C. 109 note](/us/usc/t23/s109)**]** ###
(a)Development The Secretary shall develop erosion control guidelines for States to follow in carrying out construction projects funded in whole or in part under this title. ###
(b)More Stringent State Requirements Guidelines developed under subsection
(a)shall not preempt any requirement made by or under State law if such requirement is more stringent than the guidelines. ###
(c)Consistency With Other Programs Guidelines developed under subsection
(a)shall be consistent with nonpoint source management programs under section 319 of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act and coastal nonpoint pollution control guidance under section 6217(g) of the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1990.
