## SEC. 803 ADDITIONAL RESEARCH AUTHORITIES OF THE FCC Title I of the Communications Act of 1934 (47 U.S.C. 151 et seq.) is amended by adding at the end the following: > > ## “SEC. 12 ADDITIONAL RESEARCH AUTHORITIES OF THE FCC > > **[**[47 U.S.C. 162](/us/usc/t47/s162)**]** > > “In order to carry out the purposes of this Act, the Commission may— > > > #### “(1) > > undertake research and development work in connection with any matter in relation to which the Commission has jurisdiction; and > > > #### “(2) > > promote the carrying out of such research and development by others, or otherwise to arrange for such research and development to be carried out by others.” > . # TITLE IX DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY
