## Sec. 16 effective date Except as provided in section 7(b), this Act shall become effective upon the expiration of ninety days following October 6, 1972. 1Section 7 of Public Law 117–286 provides for the repeal of sections 2–15 of Public Law 92–463 (Federal Advisory Committee Act). These sections (that previously appeared in the appendix to title 5, U.S.C. prior to the enactment of such Public Law 117–286) have been restated, reorganized, and codified in various sections of chapter 10 of title 5, United States Code and should no longer be referenced as the Federal Advisory Committee Act (unless amending the remaining provisions of said Act).
