## SEC. 1102 EXTENSION OF DIRECT HIRE AUTHORITY FOR DOMESTIC DEFENSE INDUSTRIAL BASE FACILITIES AND MAJOR RANGE AND TEST FACILITIES BASE ###
(a)In General **[**[10 U.S.C. 1580 note](/us/usc/t10/s1580)**]** Subsection
(a)of section 1125 of subtitle B of title XI of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2017 (Public Law 114-328) is amended by striking “During fiscal years 2017 and 2018,” and inserting “During each of fiscal years 2017 through 2021,”. ###
(b)Briefing Not later than 90 days after the end of each of fiscal years 2019 through 2030, the Secretary of Defense shall provide a briefing to the Committee on Armed Services of the House of Representatives, the Committee on Armed Services of the Senate, the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform of the House of Representatives, and the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs of the Senate including— ####
(1)a description of the effect of such section 1125 on the management of the Department of Defense civilian workforce during the most recently ended fiscal year; and ####
(2)the number of employees— #####
(A)hired under such section during such fiscal year; and #####
(B)expected to be hired under such section during the fiscal year in which the briefing is provided.
