## SEC. 854 KEY PERFORMANCE PARAMETER REDUCTION PILOT PROGRAM **[**[10 U.S.C. 2302 note](/us/usc/t10/s2302)**]** ###
(a)In General The Secretary of Defense may carry out a pilot program under which the Secretary may identify at least one acquisition program in each military department for reduction of the total number of key performance parameters established for the program, for purposes of determining whether operational and programmatic outcomes of the program are improved by such reduction. ###
(b)Limitation on Key Performance Parameters Any acquisition program identified for the pilot program carried out under subsection
(a)shall establish no more than three key performance parameters, each of which shall describe a program-specific performance attribute. Any key performance parameters for such a program that are required by statute shall be treated as key system attributes.
