## SEC. 819 MODIFIED NOTIFICATION REQUIREMENT FOR EXERCISE OF WAIVER AUTHORITY TO ACQUIRE VITAL NATIONAL SECURITY CAPABILITIES Subsection

(d)of section 806 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2016 (Public Law 114-92; 10 U.S.C. 2302 note) is amended to read as follows: > > ### “(d) Notification Requirement > > Not later than 10 days after exercising the waiver authority under subsection (a), the Secretary of Defense shall provide a written notification to Congress providing the details of the waiver and the expected benefits it provides to the Department of Defense.” > .
