## SEC. 214 AUTHORIZATION FOR NATIONAL DEFENSE UNIVERSITY AND DEFENSE ACQUISITION UNIVERSITY TO ENTER INTO COOPERATIVE RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENTS ###
(a)National Defense University Section 2165 of title 10, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new subsection: > > ### “(f) Cooperative Research and Development Agreements > > > ####
(1)> > In engaging in research and development projects pursuant to subsection
(a)of section 2358 of this title by a contract, cooperative agreement, or grant pursuant to subsection (b)(1) of such section, the Secretary may enter into such contract or cooperative agreement or award such grant through the National Defense University. > > > #### “(2) > > The National Defense University shall be considered a Government-operated Federal laboratory for purposes of section 12 of the Stevenson-Wydler Technology Innovation Act of 1980 (15 U.S.C. 3710a).” > . ###
(b)Defense Acquisition University Section 1746 of title 10, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new subsection: > > ### “(d) Cooperative Research and Development Agreements > > > ####
