## SEC. 1629.55 SUPPORT FOR CAPACITY OF THE INTERNATIONAL MONETARY FUND TO PREVENT MONEY LAUNDERING AND FINANCING OF TERRORISM **[**[22 U.S.C. 262p–13](/us/usc/t22/s262p–13)**]** The Secretary of the Treasury shall instruct the United States Executive Director at the International Monetary Fund to use the voice and vote of the United States to support the increased use of the administrative budget of the Fund for technical assistance that strengthens the capacity of members of the Fund to prevent money laundering and the financing of terrorism. 55Section 1629 was added to the end of title XVI of this Act by section 7125(a) of division F of Public Law 116–92.
Section 7125(b) of division F of such Public Law provides as follows: “Effective on the date that is 5 years after the date of the enactment of this Act [effective date is December 20, 2024], section 1629 of the International Financial Institutions Act, as added by subsection (a), is repealed.”.
