## SEC. 7309 REPORT ON CRUDE OIL CHARACTERISTICS RESEARCH STUDY Not later than 180 days after the research completion of the comprehensive Crude Oil Characteristics Research Sampling, Analysis, and Experiment Plan study at Sandia National Laboratories, the Secretary of Energy, in cooperation with the Secretary of Transportation, shall submit a report to the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation of the Senate, the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources of the Senate, the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure of the House of Representatives, and the Committee on Energy and Commerce of the House of Representatives that contains— ####
(1)the results of the comprehensive Crude Oil Characteristics Research Sampling, Analysis, and Experiment Plan study; and ####
(2)recommendations, based on the findings of the study, for— #####
(A)regulations by the Secretary of Transportation or the Secretary of Energy to improve the safe transport of crude oil; and #####
(B)legislation to improve the safe transport of crude oil.
