## SEC. 11404 POSITIVE TRAIN CONTROL AT GRADE CROSSINGS EFFECTIVENESS STUDY After the Secretary certifies that each Class I railroad carrier and each entity providing regularly scheduled intercity or commuter rail passenger transportation is in compliance with the positive train control requirements under section 20157(a) of title 49, United States Code, the Secretary shall— ####
(1)conduct a study of the possible effectiveness of positive train control and related technologies on reducing collisions at highway-rail grade crossings; and ####
(2)submit a report containing the results of the study conducted under paragraph
(1)to the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation of the Senate and the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure of the House of Representatives.
