## SEC. 14012 CO-OCCURRING SUBSTANCE ABUSE AND MENTAL HEALTH CHALLENGES IN RESIDENTIAL SUBSTANCE ABUSE TREATMENT PROGRAMS Section 1901(a) of title I of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 (42 U.S.C. 3796ff(a)) is amended— ####
(1)in paragraph (1), by striking “and” at the end; ####
(2)in paragraph (2), by striking the period at the end and inserting “; and”; and ####
(3)by adding at the end the following: > > #### “(3) > > developing and implementing specialized residential substance abuse treatment programs that identify and provide appropriate treatment to inmates with co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders or challenges.” > .
