## SEC. 12005 PROVIDING EPSDT SERVICES TO CHILDREN IN IMDS **[**[42 U.S.C. 1396d note](/us/usc/t42/s1396d)**]** ###
(a)In general Section 1905(a)(16) of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1396d(a)(16)) is amended— ####
(1)by striking “effective January 1, 1973” and inserting “(A) effective January 1, 1973”; and ####
(2)by inserting before the semicolon at the end the following: “, and,
(B)for individuals receiving services described in subparagraph (A), early and periodic screening, diagnostic, and treatment services (as defined in subsection (r)), whether or not such screening, diagnostic, and treatment services are furnished by the provider of the services described in such subparagraph”. ###
(b)Effective Date The amendments made by subsection
(a)shall apply with respect to items and services furnished in calendar quarters beginning on or after January 1, 2019.
