## SEC. 222 LEAVE POLICIES FOR THE COAST GUARD ###
(a)In General Chapter 11 of title 14, United States Code, is further amended by inserting after section 430 the following: > > ## “SEC. 431 Leave policies for the Coast Guard > > **[**[14 U.S.C. 431](/us/usc/t14/s431)**]** > > “Not later than 1 year after the date on which the Secretary of the Navy promulgates a new rule, policy, or memorandum pursuant to section 704 of title 10, United States Code, with respect to leave associated with the birth or adoption of a child, the Secretary of the department in which the Coast Guard is operating shall promulgate a similar rule, policy, or memorandum that provides leave to officers and enlisted members of the Coast Guard that is equal in duration and compensation to that provided by the Secretary of the Navy.” > . ###
(b)Clerical amendment **[**[14 U.S.C. 211](/us/usc/t14/s211)**]** The analysis at the beginning of such chapter is further amended by inserting after the item related to section 430 the following:“431. Leave policies for the Coast Guard.”. # TITLE III SHIPPING AND NAVIGATION
