## SEC. 540 MODIFICATION OF TERM OF JUDGES OF THE UNITED STATES COURT OF APPEALS FOR THE ARMED FORCES ###
(a)Modification of Terms Section 942(b)(2) of title 10, United States Code (article 142(b)(2) of the Uniform Code of Military Justice), is amended— ####
(1)in subparagraph (A)— #####
(A)by striking “March 31” and inserting “January 31”; #####
(B)by striking “October 1” and inserting “July 31”; and #####
(C)by striking “September 30” and inserting “July 31”; and ####
(2)in subparagraph (B)— #####
(A)by striking “September 30” each place it appears and inserting “July 31”; and #####
(B)by striking “April 1” and inserting “February 1”. ###
(b)Saving Provision **[**[10 U.S.C. 942 note](/us/usc/t10/s942)**]** No person who is serving as a judge of the court on the date of the enactment of this Act, and no survivor of any such person, shall be deprived of any annuity provided by section 945 of title 10, United States Code, by the operation of the amendments made by subsection (a).
