## SEC. 211 MODIFICATION OF AUTHORITY FOR PRIZES FOR ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY ACHIEVEMENTS ###
(a)Modification of Limit on Amount of Awards **[**[10 U.S.C. 2374a](/us/usc/t10/s2374a)**]** Subsection (c)(1) of section 2374a of title 10, United States Code, is amended by striking “The total amount” and all that follows through the period at the end and inserting the following: “No prize competition may result in the award of a cash prize of more than $10,000,000.”. ###
(b)Acceptance of Funds Such section is further amended— ####
(1)by redesignating subsections
(e)and
(f)as subsections
(f)and (g), respectively; and ####
(2)by inserting after subsection
(d)the following new subsection (e): > > ### “(e) Acceptance of Funds > > In addition to such sums as may be appropriated or otherwise made available to the Secretary to award prizes under this section, the Secretary may accept funds from other departments and agencies of the Federal Government, and from State and local governments, to award prizes under this section.” > . ###
(c)Frequency of Reporting Subsection
(f)of such section, as redesignated by subsection (b)(1) of this section, is amended— ####
(1)in paragraph (1)— #####
(A)by striking “each year” and inserting “every other year”; and #####
(B)by striking “fiscal year” and inserting “two fiscal years”; ####
(2)in paragraph (2), in the matter preceding subparagraph (A), by striking “a fiscal year” and inserting “a period of two fiscal years”; and ####
(3)in the subsection heading, by striking “Annual” and inserting “Biennial”.
