## SEC. 436 MARITIME SECURITY CAPABILITIES ASSESSMENTS **[**[6 U.S.C. 244](/us/usc/t6/s244)**]** Not later than 180 days after the date of enactment of the Maritime Security Improvement Act of 2018, and annually thereafter, the Secretary shall submit to the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation and the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs of the Senate and the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure and the Committee on Homeland Security of the House of Representatives, an assessment of the number and type of maritime assets and the number of personnel required to increase the Department’s maritime response rate pursuant to section 1092 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2017 (6 U.S.C. 223). ## Subtitle D Immigration Enforcement Functions
