## SEC. 723 REPORT ON MEMORANDUM REGARDING TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURIES Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Defense shall submit to the congressional defense committees a report on how the Secretary identifies, refers, and treats traumatic brain injuries with respect to members of the Armed Forces who served in Operation Enduring Freedom or Operation Iraqi Freedom before the effective date in June 2010 of directive type memorandum 09-033 titled “Policy Guidance for Management of Concussion/Mild Traumatic Brain Injury in the Deployed Setting”, regarding using a 50-meter distance from an explosion as a criterion to properly identify, refer, and treat members for potential traumatic brain injury.
