## SEC. 1261 SHORT TITLE **[**[42 U.S.C. 15801 note](/us/usc/t42/s15801)**]** This subtitle may be cited as the “Public Utility Holding Company Act of 2005”. 8The Public Utility Holding Company Act of 2005 is subtitle F of title XII of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 (P.L. 109–58). Section 1274(a) of this subtitle provides “[e]xcept for section 1272 (relating to implementation), this subtitle shall take effect 6 months after the date of enactment **[**August 8, 2005**]** of this subtitle”.
