## SEC. 90204 COUNTER-DRUG TECHNOLOGY ASSESSMENT CENTER ###
(a)Drug Abuse Addiction and Rehabilitation Center Section 1003A of the National Narcotics Leadership Act of 1988 (21 U.S.C. 1502a(c)(1)) is amended— ####
(1)by redesignating subparagraphs (B), (C), and
(D)as subparagraphs (C), (D), and (E), respectively; and ####
(2)by inserting after subparagraph
(A)the following: > > ##### “(B) > > in consultation with the National Institute on Drug Abuse, and through interagency agreements or grants, examine addiction and rehabilitation research and the application of technology to expanding the effectiveness or availability of drug treatment;” > . ###
(b)Assistance From the Advanced Research Project Agency Section 1003A of the National Narcotics Leadership Act of 1988 (21 U.S.C. 1502a) is amended by adding at the end the following: > > ### “(f) Assistance and Support to Office of National Drug Control Policy > > The Director of the Advanced Research Project Agency shall, to the fullest extent possible, render assistance and support to the Office of National Drug Control Policy and its Director.” > . ###
(c)Repeal and Redesignation The National Narcotics Leadership Act of 1988 is amended by— ####
(1)repealing section 1008 (21 U.S.C. 1505), as in effect on the date of the enactment of this Act; ####
(2)redesignating section 1003A, as amended by subsection
(b)of this section, as section 1008; and ####
(3)moving such section, as redesignated, so as to follow section 1007.
