## SEC. 20404 APPLICATION TO PRISONERS TO WHICH PRIOR LAW APPLIES **[**[18 U.S.C. 4042 note](/us/usc/t18/s4042)**]** In the case of a prisoner convicted of an offense committed prior to November 1, 1987, the reference to supervised release in section 4042(b) of title 18, United States Code, shall be deemed to be a reference to probation or parole.
