## SEC. 506 TORTURE CONVENTION IMPLEMENTATION ### (a)63 In General Part I of title 18, United States Code, is amended by inserting after chapter 113A the following new chapter: * * * 63For text, see page 712. ### (c)64 Effective Date The amendments made by this section shall take effect on the later of— 6418 U.S.C. 2340 note. ####
(1)the date of enactment of this Act; or ####
(2)the date on which the United States has become a party to the Convention Against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment.
