## SEC. 2501 INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCES AND CONTINGENCIES There are authorized to be appropriated for “International Conferences and Contingencies”, $6,537,000 for the fiscal year 1998 and $16,223,000 for the fiscal year 1999 for the Department of State to carry out the authorities, functions, duties, and responsibilities in the conduct of the foreign affairs of the United States with respect to international conferences and contingencies and to carry out other authorities in law consistent with such purposes.
