## SEC. 2203 RETENTION OF ADDITIONAL DEFENSE TRADE CONTROLS REGISTRATION FEES Section 45(a) of the State Department Basic Authorities Act of 1956 (22 U.S.C. 2717(a)) is amended— ####
(1)at the end of paragraph (1), by striking “and”; ####
(2)in paragraph (2)— #####
(A)by striking “functions” and inserting “functions, including compliance and enforcement activities,”; and #####
(B)by striking the period at the end and inserting “; and”; and ####
(3)by adding at the end the following new paragraph: > > #### “(3) > > the enhancement of defense trade export compliance and enforcement activities, including compliance audits of United States and foreign parties, the conduct of administrative proceedings, monitoring of end-uses in cases of direct commercial arms sales or other transfers, and cooperation in proceedings for enforcement of criminal laws related to defense trade export controls.” > .
