## Sec. 1409 effective dates **[**[34 U.S.C. 20101 note](/us/usc/t34/s20101)**]** ###
(a)except as provided in subsection (b), this chapter and the amendments made by this chapter shall take effect thirty days after the date of enactment of this joint resolution. ###
(b)Sections 1402, 1403, 1404, and 1407 of this chapter shall take effect on October 1, 1984. **[**Sec. 1410 was repealed by P.L. 99–646, 100 Stat. 3605.**]**
