## SEC. 255 AUTHORIZATION FOR APPROPRIATIONS FOR NEW BUILDING PERFORMANCE STANDARDS GRANTS Section 307(b) of the Energy Conservation Standards for New Buildings Act of 1976 is amended to read as follows: > > ### “(b) > > There is authorized to be appropriated, for the purpose of carrying out this section, the following amounts— > > > #### “(1) > > for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1977, not to exceed $5,000,000; > > > #### “(2) > > for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1978, not to exceed $10,000,000; and > > > #### “(3) > > for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1979, not to exceed $10,000,000. > > Any amount appropriated pursuant to this subsection shall remain available until expended.” > . ### PART 5 RESIDENTIAL ENERGY EFFICIENCY PROGRAMS
