## SEC. 344 MODIFICATION OF REPORT ON MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR OF VESSELS IN FOREIGN SHIPYARDS Section 7310(c) of title 10, United States Code, is amended— ####
(1)in paragraph (3)— #####
(A)in the matter preceding subparagraph (A), by striking “The report” and inserting the following: “Except as provided in paragraph (4), the report”; and #####
(B)in subparagraph (A), by inserting after “justification under law” the following: “and operational justification”; ####
(2)by redesignating paragraph
(4)as paragraph (5); ####
(3)by inserting after paragraph
(3)the following new paragraph (4): > > #### “(4) > > In the case of a covered vessel described in subparagraph
(C)of paragraph (5), the report shall not be required to include the information described in subparagraphs (A), (E), (F), (G), and
(I)of paragraph (3).” > ; and ####
(4)in paragraph (5), as redesignated by paragraph
(2)of this section, by adding at the end the following new subparagraph: > > ##### “(C) > > A vessel not described in subparagraph

(B)that is operated pursuant to a contract entered into by the Secretary of the Navy and the Maritime Administration or the United States Transportation Command in support of Department of Defense operations.” > .
