## SEC. 706 TRANSITIONAL HEALTH BENEFITS FOR CERTAIN MEMBERS WITH EXTENSION OF ACTIVE DUTY FOLLOWING ACTIVE DUTY IN SUPPORT OF A CONTINGENCY OPERATION Section 1145(a)(4) of title 10, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new sentence: “For purposes of the preceding sentence, in the case of a member on active duty as described in subparagraph (B), (C), or
(D)of paragraph
(2)who, without a break in service, is extended on active duty for any reason, the 180-day period shall begin on the date on which the member is separated from such extended active duty.”.
