## SEC. 311 DESIGNATION OF SENIOR OFFICIAL OF JOINT CHIEFS OF STAFF FOR OPERATIONAL ENERGY PLANS AND PROGRAMS AND OPERATIONAL ENERGY BUDGET CERTIFICATION Section 138c of title 10, United States Code, is amended— ####
(1)in subsection (d)— #####
(A)by redesignating paragraphs
(3)and
(4)as paragraphs
(4)and (5), respectively; and #####
(B)by inserting after paragraph
(2)the following new paragraph (3): > > #### “(3) > > The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff shall designate a senior official under the jurisdiction of the Chairman who shall be responsible for operational energy plans and programs for the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Joint Staff. The official so designated shall be responsible for coordinating with the Assistant Secretary and implementing initiatives pursuant to the strategy with regard to the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Joint Staff.” > ; and ####
(2)in subsection (e)(4), by striking “10 days” and inserting “30 days”.
