No execution shall be issued upon any judgment for the recovery of money against the township, in any action or proceeding prosecuted by or against it, in its own name or the name of any of its officers for and on its behalf, but the same, unless reversed or stayed on appeal, shall be paid by the treasurer upon demand and the delivery to him of a properly executed satisfaction of such judgment, if there is sufficient money in the treasury for that purpose not otherwise appropriated.
If sufficient funds are not available to pay such judgment, the amount due thereon, with interest, shall be added to the next ensuing tax levy, to be certified and collected as other township taxes are certified and collected, and such judgment shall be paid as soon as sufficient taxes have been collected to pay the same.
