7-3-13. Transfer of books, records, and files relating exclusively to new county.

Whenever an organized county has been or shall be divided and a division of the books, records, and files has not been made, it shall be the duty of the county commissioners of the new county or counties to procure from the original county, and it shall be the duty of the proper officers of the original county to surrender, all the books, records, and files of the several offices which relate exclusively to school districts, townships, and municipalities located within the territory embraced within such new county or counties.
Such commissioners shall further procure, and it shall be the duty of the proper officers of the original county to surrender, all books, records, and files of the original county which in any manner affect exclusively property rights or interests in such new county or counties.
