It is an unfair or discriminatory practice for an insurance company to terminate, or to modify coverage or to refuse to issue or refuse to renew any life policy or contract of life insurance solely because the applicant or insured or any employee of either is blind or partially blind. This section does not apply to accident and health insurance. This section may not be interpreted to prohibit the termination, modification, issuance, or renewal of any insurance policy or contract if the action is based on sound actuarial principles or is related to actual or reasonable anticipated experience.
