If such petition shall be granted, and in case no stay bond shall have been given upon an appeal from the order granting the petition, the board of county commissioners shall immediately proceed to procure monuments for such landmarks, and shall contract with a registered land surveyor, for the survey of all the sections of such township and the erection of such monuments, one at each corner and one at each external quarter section corner in such township; such materials to be procured and such monuments to be set in all respects as provided in this chapter.
