There is hereby created the South Dakota Commission on Gaming. The commission is attached to the Department of Revenue for reporting purposes only. The commission shall consist of five citizens of South Dakota, all of whom shall be appointed by the Governor of the State of South Dakota. The commission members may not all be members of the same political party. No member may be a license holder under this chapter nor a resident of Lawrence county. The initial members to be appointed shall draw lots to determine who will hold the two three-year terms, the two two-year terms and the one one-year term.
Thereafter, each member shall serve terms of three years. No person may serve more than two consecutive full terms.
