36-18A-52. General provisions applicable to business entities.

The provisions with respect to issuance, expiration, renewal, and reissuance of the certificate of licensure of persons contained in this chapter apply to certificates of authorization issued to business entities under the provisions of this chapter. A business entity is subject to disciplinary proceedings and penalties, and certificates of authorization are subject to suspension or revocation for cause, in the same manner and to the same extent as is provided with respect to individuals and their certificates of licensure in this chapter.
The terms, licensee and certificate of licensure, as used in this chapter, apply to any business entity holding a certificate of authorization issued under this chapter and to such certificate of authorization.
