34A-11-17. Notice and order for correction of violation.

If the secretary of agriculture and natural resources determines that a person is in violation of this chapter, or any rule promulgated pursuant to this chapter, the secretary may cause written notice and an order to be served personally or by mail upon the alleged violator or the alleged violator's agent. The notice and order shall state the statute or rule allegedly violated, the pertinent facts, the nature of any corrective action that may be required and the time within which the action is to be taken.
A notice and order may include a suspension or revocation of a permit issued under this chapter. For purposes of this chapter, service by mail is considered complete on the date of mailing.
