2-6-12. Legislative drafts and recommendations by Retirement Laws Committee--Reports--Review of proposals.

The Retirement Laws Committee shall present legislative drafts to effect sound and equitable public employees retirement programs. The Retirement Laws Committee shall study and make recommendations concerning the extension of retirement coverage to public employees to whom retirement protection has not been accorded. The Retirement Laws Committee shall from time to time report to the Legislature which report shall include but not be limited to the financial soundness of the system.
The Retirement Laws Committee shall review all proposed legislation that affects public employee retirement in the state and shall make its report to the Legislature. During the legislative session, however, the standing committees established to review retirement laws legislation shall review proposed legislation that affects public employee retirement.
