§ 27-25-27. Annual license.
(a)The authority of all societies shall be continuous unless sooner revoked or suspended as provided in this chapter. For each license the society shall pay the commissioner of insurance one hundred dollars ($100). The society shall pay a license fee of one hundred dollars ($100) annually prior to April 30 of each year. A duly certified copy or duplicate of the license shall be prima facie evidence that the licensee is a fraternal benefit society within the meaning of this chapter.
(b)The commissioner may assess a late fee of ten dollars ($10.00) per day for each day the society is late in remitting its annual license fee.
