Supplementary Information

Notice is hereby given that, in a letter dated July 30, 2024, the President amended the cost-sharing arrangements regarding Federal funds provided under the authority of the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act, 42 U.S.C. 5121 et seq. (the “Stafford Act”), in a letter to Deanne Criswell, Administrator, Federal Emergency Management Agency, Department of Homeland Security, under Executive Order 12148, as follows: I have determined that the damage in certain areas of the State of New Mexico resulting from the South Fork Fire, Salt Fire, and flooding beginning on June 17, 2024, and continuing, is of sufficient severity and magnitude that special cost sharing arrangements are warranted regarding Federal funds provided under the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act, 42 U.S.C. 5121 et seq. (the “Stafford Act”). Therefore, I amend my declaration of June 20, 2024, to authorize Federal funds for debris removal and emergency protective measures, including direct Federal assistance, at 100 percent of the total eligible costs for a continuous 30-day period of the State's choosing within the first 120 days from the start of the incident period. In addition, the State is permitted to select separate 30-day periods for each category of work.
