The EPA published the Notice of Proposed Radon Credentialing Criteria on March 22, 2023, in the Federal Register (88 FR 17215), which included a request for comments and key questions, on or before May 22, 2023, on The Proposed Radon Credentialing Criteria document (available in the docket). The purpose of this Notice is to extend the public comment period. Submit your comments, identified by Docket ID No. EPA-HQ-OAR-2017-0430, at (our preferred method), or the other methods identified in the ADDRESSES section. A. What should I consider as I prepare my comments for the EPA? Once submitted, comments cannot be edited or removed from the docket. The EPA may publish any comment received to its public docket. Do not submit electronically any information you consider to be Confidential Business Information (CBI) or other information whose disclosure is restricted by statute. The written comment is considered the official comment and should include discussion of all points you wish to make. The EPA will generally not consider comments or comment contents located outside of the primary submission ( i.e., on the web, cloud, or other file sharing system). The EPA hosted a public information session on April 12, 2023. To access a recording of the session, accompanying slides and a Questions and Answers document, visit EPA's radon website at . The information session covered the EPA's role in overseeing the quality of radon service providers as well as conformity assessment and application of voluntary consensus standards within federal programs, including the proposed criteria.
