(NRC)invites public comment on the renewal of Office of Management and Budget
(OMB)approval for an existing collection of information. The information collection is entitled, “NRC Form 361—Reactor Plant Event Notification Worksheet.” DATES: Submit comments by June 27, 2022. Comments received after this date will be considered if it is practical to do so, but the Commission is able to ensure consideration only for comments received on or before this date. II. Background In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (44 U.S.C. Chapter 35), the NRC is requesting public comment on its intention to request the OMB's approval for the information collection summarized below. 1. *The title of the information collection:* NRC Form 361—Reactor Plant Event Notification Worksheet. 2. *OMB approval number:* 3150-0238. 3. *Type of submission:* Extension. 4. *The form number, if applicable:* NRC Form 361. 5. *How often the collection is required or requested:* On occasion, as defined, NRC licensee events are reportable when they occur. 6. *Who will be required or asked to respond:* Holders of NRC licenses for commercial nuclear power plants, fuel cycle facilities, NRC material licensees, and non-power reactors. 7. *The estimated number of annual responses:* 556. 8. *The estimated number of annual respondents:* 556. 9. *The estimated number of hours needed annually to comply with the information collection requirement or request:* 278. 10. *Abstract:* The NRC requires its licensees to report by telephone certain reactor events and emergencies that have potential impact to public health and safety. In order to efficiently process the information received through such reports for reactors, the NRC created Forms 361 to provide a templated worksheet for recording the information. NRC licensees are not required to fill out or submit the worksheet, but the form provides the usual order of questions and discussion to enable a licensee to prepare answers for a more clear and complete telephonic notification. Without the templated format of the NRC Forms 361, the information exchange between licensees and NRC Headquarters Operations Officers via telephone could result in delays as well as unnecessary transposition errors. III. Specific Requests for Comments The NRC is seeking comments that address the following questions: 1. Is the proposed collection of information necessary for the NRC to properly perform its functions? Does the information have practical utility? 2. Is the estimate of the burden of the information collection accurate? 3. Is there a way to enhance the quality, utility, and clarity of the information to be collected? 4. How can the burden of the information collection on respondents be minimized, including the use of automated collection techniques or other forms of information technology? Dated: April 21, 2022.
