ACTION: Notice. SUMMARY: The Defense Acquisition Regulations System has submitted to OMB for clearance, the following proposed extension of a collection of information under the provisions of the Paperwork Reduction Act.
DATES: Consideration will be given to comments received by July 6, 2021. SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: *Title and OMB Number:* Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), Contract Modifications and related clause at DFARS 252.243-7002; OMB Control Number 0704-0397. *Type of Request:* Revision and extension. *Affected Public:* Businesses or other for-profit and not-for profit institutions. *Respondent's Obligation:* Required to obtain or retain benefits. *Respondents:* 131. *Responses per Respondent:* 1. *Annual Responses:* 131. *Hours per response:* 14.3, approximately. *Estimated Hours:* 1,879. *Reporting Frequency:* On occasion. *Needs and Uses:* The information collection required by the clause at DFARS 252.243-7002, Requests for Equitable Adjustment, implements 10 U.S.C. 2410(a).
The clause requires contractors to certify that requests for equitable adjustment exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold are made in good faith and that the supporting data are accurate and complete. The clause also requires contractors to fully disclose all facts relevant to the requests for equitable adjustment. DoD contracting officers and auditors use this information to evaluate contractor requests for equitable adjustments to contracts. Comments and recommendations on the proposed information collection should be sent to Ms.
