SUMMARY: In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, FAA invites public comments about our intention to request the Office of Management and Budget
(OMB)approval to renew an information collection. The **Federal Register** Notice with a 60-day comment period soliciting comments on the following collection of information was published on April 17, 2020. The collection involves information to be collected will be used to and/or is necessary for the purpose of the review, and administration of grants in accordance with applicable Government-wide, and Agency regulations, policies, and procedures. DATES: Written comments should be submitted by October 1, 2020. The Aviation Research Grants Program utilizes grant awards to support advanced research in areas of potential benefit to the long-term growth of civil aviation, and in areas related to the prevention of catastrophic failure of an aircraft. The objective of this program is to encourage and support innovative, advanced, and applied research and development in areas of potential benefit to the long-term growth of civil aviation. This program implements 2 CFR 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards; Federal Aviation Administration Research, Engineering and Development Authorization Act of 1990, Public Law 101-508; 49 U.S.C. 44511: Aviation research grants.
