ACTION: Notification; withdrawal of petition for rulemaking. SUMMARY: The Food and Drug Administration (FDA or we) is announcing the withdrawal, without prejudice to a future filing, of a food additive petition (FAP 2280) proposing that the food additive regulations be amended to provide for the safe use of 25-hydroxyvitamin D <sup>3</sup> in feed for swine.
DATES: The food additive petition was withdrawn on September 13, 2017. In a notice published in the **Federal Register** of March 25, 2014 (79 FR 16252), we announced that we had filed a food additive petition (FAP 2280), submitted by DSM Nutritional Products, 45 Waterview Blvd., Parsippany, NJ 07054. The petition proposed to amend the food additive regulations in 21 CFR part 573, *Food Additives Permitted in Feed and Drinking Water of Animals,* to provide for the safe use of 25-hydroxyvitamin D <sup>3</sup> in feed for swine. DSM Nutritional Products, Inc. has now withdrawn the petition without prejudice to a future filing (21 CFR 571.7).
