ACTION: Approval of rail cost adjustment factor. SUMMARY: The Board has approved the third quarter 2012 rail cost adjustment factor
(RCAF)and cost index filed by the Association of American Railroads. The third quarter 2012 RCAF (Unadjusted) is 1.171. The third quarter 2012 RCAF (Adjusted) is 0.513. The third quarter 2012 RCAF-5 is 0.485. The Board noted an error in the first and second quarter 2012 Materials & Supplies index component, which will be accounted for using the third and fourth quarter 2012 forecast error calculations.
