BILLING CODE 6717-01-P DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY Federal Energy Regulatory Commission [Project No. 14375-000] American River Power III, LLC; Notice of Preliminary Permit Application Accepted for Filing and Soliciting Comments, Motions To Intervene, and Competing Applications On March 22, 2012, the American River Power III, LLC filed an application for a preliminary permit under section 4(f) of the Federal Power Act proposing to study the feasibility of the proposed Dillon Lake Hydroelectric Water Power Project No. 14375, to be located at the existing Dillon Lake Dam on the Licking River, near the City of Zanesville in Muskingum County, Ohio.
The Dillon Lake Dam is owned by the United States Government and operated by the United States Army Corps of Engineers. The proposed project would consist of:
(1)One new 30-foot-long by 30-foot-wide by 30-foot-high powerhouse, containing one 1.59-megawatt turbine;
(2)one new 50-foot-long by 8-foot-diameter steel penstock;
(3)a new 32-foot by 28-foot substation;
(4)a new 30-foot-wide tailrace;
(5)a new 300-foot-long, 14.7-kilovolt transmission line; and
