(OMB)for clearance the following proposal for collection of information under the provisions of the Paperwork Reduction Act (44 U.S.C. Chapter 35). *Agency:* National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). *Title:* Pacific Islands Region Vessel and Gear Identification Requirements. *OMB Control Number:* 0648-0360. *Form Number(s):* NA. *Type of Request:* Regular submission (revision and extension of a current information collection). *Number of Respondents:* 295. *Average Hours per Response:* Vessel marking, 45 minutes or 75 minutes, depending on type of vessel; gear-marking, 2 minutes per each piece of gear. *Burden Hours:* 1,110. *Needs and Uses:* This request is for revision and extension of a current information collection. Regulations at 50 CFR part 665, and at 50 CFR part 300 subparts D and O, require that all vessels (and their gear) with permits issued under authority of the National Marine Fishery Service's
(NMFS)Fishery Management Plan for United States (U.S.) Pacific Island Region Fisheries display the vessel's official number. The numbers must be of a specific size and format and located at specified locations.
