ACTION: Notice; extension of comment period to July 17, 2010. SUMMARY: The Department of Homeland Security is extending the public comment period until July 17, 2010, for proposed guidance to recipients of Federal financial assistance regarding Title VI's prohibition against national origin discrimination affecting limited English proficient persons.
This proposed guidance is issued pursuant to Executive Order 13166 and is consistent with government-wide guidance previously issued by the Department of Justice. DATES: Written comments are invited from interested persons and organizations no later than July 17, 2010. Due to inadvertence, the date specified for receipt of comments did not permit a full 30 day comment period.
