The OMB is particularly interested in comments which: • Evaluate whether the proposed collection of information is necessary for the proper performance of the functions of the agency, including whether the information will have practical utility; • Evaluate the accuracy of the agency's estimate of the burden of the proposed collection of information, including the validity of the methodology and assumptions used; • Enhance the quality, utility, and clarity of the information to be collected; and • Minimize the burden of the collection of information on those who are to respond, including through the use of appropriate automated, electronic, mechanical, or other technological collection techniques or other forms of information technology, *e.g.,* permitting electronic submission of responses. *Agency:* Bureau of Labor Statistics. *Type of Review:* Reinstatement with change of a previously approved collection. *Title of Collection:* Veterans Supplement to the CPS. *OMB Control Number:* 1220-0102. *Affected Public:* Individuals or Households. *Total Estimated Number of Respondents:* 11,000. *Total Estimated Annual Burden Hours:* 367. *Total Estimated Annual Costs Burden (Operation and Maintenance):* $0. *Description:* This supplement is co-sponsored by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and by the U.S. Department of Labor's Veterans Employment and Training Service. Data collected through this supplement will be used by the co-sponsors to determine policies that better meet the needs of our Nation's veteran population. The supplement provides information on the labor force status of veterans with a service-connected disability, combat veterans, past or present National Guard and Reserve members, and recently discharged veterans. The supplement also provides information about veterans' participation in various transition and employment training programs. Respondents are veterans who are not currently on active duty or are members of a household where a veteran lives.
