(OMB)for clearance the following proposal for collection of information under provisions of the Paperwork Reduction Act (44 U.S.C. Chapter 35). *Agency:* Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS). *Title:* Offsets in Military Reports. *Agency Form Number:* n/a. *OMB Approval Number:* 0694-0084. *Type of Request:* Renewal of an existing collection of information. *Burden:* 1,000 hours. *Average Time Per Response:* 10 hours per response. *Number of Respondents:* 100 respondents. *Needs and Uses:* The Defense Production Act Amendments of 1992, section 123 (P.L. 102558), which amended section 309 or the Defense Production Act of 1950, requires United States firms to furnish information regarding offset agreements exceeding $5,000,000 in value associated with sales of weapon systems or defense-related items to foreign countries. The information collected on offset transactions will be used to assess the cumulative effect of offset compensation practices on U.S. trade and competitiveness, as required by statute. *Affected Public:* Individuals, businesses or other for-profit institutions. *Respondent's Obligation:* Mandatory. *OMB Desk Officer:* David Rostker.
